UNDP Project «Aid for Trade», financed by the Government of Finland, is aimed at promoting inclusive economic growth through the development of trade and strengthening national competitiveness and sustainable development.

Goal of the project: promote the harmonization of national legislation in connection with the expansion of regional trade agreements of Kyrgyzstan, conduct economic analysis on topical issues of trade policy, conduct comparative analysis on the codification of the commodity nomenclature of export economic activity of the country, provide support and development for an enabling environment for trade, and capacity building of national partners in the field of trade promotion.
The project also covers the sector of agriculture and processing of agricultural products (selected value chains). By supporting farmers it will be able to increase their productivity and export volumes obtained through innovative knowledge and skills. During implementation of the project, technical assistance from partners in the development of documents of national and regional importance will be coducted. In order to improve the welfare of the population through trade in pilot villages a number of projects will be implemented for the development of value chains, including the creation of export alliances.
